Devon Microgreens are developing their range of microgreens and micro herbs, which they’re now introducing to the public with the Feel Good Micro Mix.

Co-founder Clare tells us more: “We are focusing on our Feel Good Micro Mix, created for flavour and nutritional content. It’s not like any other salad mix on the market. We see it as a re-design of the ‘house salad’, made up of a range of flavours including – Radish, Kale, Kohlrabi, Broccoli, Mustard and Red Vein Sorrel.

“It’s taste combines the richness of green vegetables – kale, kohlrabi and broccoli -with peppery kicks from radish and mustard. All balanced out by the fresh, citrus tones of the sorrel.

“From a nutritional perspective, every microgreen has considerably higher vitamin, mineral and antioxidant content in comparison to their mature counterparts.

“Within this mix, the kale and radish provide high contents of vitamins A, B, C E and K, plus calcium and iron, with kohlrabi bringing in high levels of fibre. Mustard’s carotene (an antioxidant) content is a great contributor to skin protection and lowering the risk of diabetes.

“Salad may not sound particularly festive or wintery, but our grow room is temperature-controlled all year round allowing our greens to maintain their full flavour no matter what time of the year they’re grown and harvested.

The Feel Good Micro Mix is a diverse mix, which pairs perfectly with anything from steak to salmon or simply topped with mozzarella and a drizzling of chilli oil.

Currently, you’ll find this mix used by chefs in a number of restaurants across the south west and now Devon Microgreens want to make it accessible to you at home.
