Venus Company is proud to be part of England’s Seafood FEAST this autumn – the country’s most exciting celebration of seafood.

As part of the celebration of seafood taking place across the English Riviera and beyond from 29th September – 15th October, we will be serving a range of Seafood Specials at Venus Café at beautiful Broadsands beach including Whole Mackerel, Torbay Sole & Sardines and our popular Petit Sole Fish n’ Chips.

Enjoy the taste of the sea from our extensive specials menu featuring local seafood – with all our fish products sourced from either local day boat fish or MSC-sustainable catch.

Our seafood menu focuses on local fish cooked and served whole for maximum flavour, including oven-baked sardines, whole-baked Torbay Megrim sole and whole large locally landed mackerel, all served with wakame salad (a Japanese seaweed salad speciality), Venus garlic mayo slaw, and french fries, or homemade bubble & squeak.

If you are looking for a lighter bite, we highly recommend our delicious arancini made with locally caught pollock or crab cakes featuring local Brixham white and brown crab meat.

As we head into the autumn there’s nothing quite like a brisk walk on the beach to give you a hearty appetite for something warm and comforting. Our heavenly homemade Venus fish pie prepared with local pollock hits the spot. Whatever you choose, our dishes are made with love and care in our Venus kitchens and served to you by our wonderful, friendly and dedicated team.

So why not take a pew and relax in our cosy Venus Café perfect for any season. If you prefer al-fresco dining on the beach our beautifully, newly renovated outdoor terrace and decking seats 100.  Wherever you choose to sit you are guaranteed stunning sea views set in an idyllic rural setting.

We even have our own special dog menu which is popular with our four-legged customers.
