Major project to upgrade entrance and facilities at RHS Rosemoor will temporarily affect Accessible Parking arrangements.

Work to renovate the ‘Welcome’ facilities at RHS Rosemoor will commence in the New Year and will run until the end of March. The project will greatly improve accessibility as well as upgrade the welcome facilities in the Visitor Centre.

The scale of this project will require the closure of the main Visitor Entrance for the duration – access to the gardens and the temporarily relocated Garden Centre and Gift Shop will be via the Garden Room entrance.

Due to site access and construction traffic, no parking will be available in the lower car park and all visitors will be required to use the upper parking areas. Accessible parking will be available in the first bay to the right of the entrance to the upper car park. If anyone has any concerns regarding access during this work, they can contact the gardens by email at rosemooradmin@rhs.org.uk

The gardens, shop and restaurant will remain fully open throughout this period and no interruption in services is expected, although there may be some noise near the main building at times.

Emma Thompson, Head of Site says,

‘Following the successful refurbishment of our Garden Restaurant this spring, this work will complete our project to improve access to our facilities and enhance our visitor experience for all. We appreciate the temporary arrangements may be slightly disruptive but are confident the end result will be well worth the short term inconvenience.’

Rosemoor’s annual Winter Sculpture Exhibition featuring 120 artworks by local and national artists continues until 30 January so there is plenty to see in the garden. Placed in carefully curated positions, these beautiful pieces add interest to the garden’s winter textures and colours.
