Salcombe Gin ‘Start Point’ Awarded Gold in The Spirits Business 2022 Gin Masters

Salcombe Distilling Co. is pleased to announce that their flagship London dry gin Salcombe Gin ‘Start Point’ has been awarded Gold in the Spirits Business 2022 Gin Masters. The Spirits Business is the leading publication within the international spirits industry and each year a panel of leading spirits specialists judge the world’s finest gin brands in a blind tasting.  This is great news for the Devon-based spirits producer who not only operate at an international level but also to remain true to their Salcombe roots, as the waterside distillery on Island Street still produces every drop of Salcombe Gin sold worldwide.

Salcombe Distilling Co.’s waterside distillery is also home to their fantastic bar where a team of expert distillers and mixologists exhibit their craft and can often be found experimenting with different recipes and cocktail serves. One of the recent additions to the seasonal bar menu is the ‘Seaberry Martini’, this non-alcoholic, low waste, low carbon footprint cocktail combines New London Light ‘Midnight Sun’ with coastal ingredients foraged close to the waterside distillery, including Alexanders seeds and Dandelion flowers. These sustainably sourced ingredients are carefully made into syrup and homemade honey which are then crafted into a delicious tasting cocktail with minimal waste.

This sustainable serve is available to try now along with some other low waste options created with care by the SDCo. team. This is just one of the sustainable initiatives put into place by SDCo. who also donate 1% of sales of 70cl Salcombe Gin and the non-alcoholic New London Light collection to marine conservation charities here in the UK and in the USA.
