Lyme Bay Winery is delighted to announce it has won Gold in the Specialist Retailer Category for its Cellar Door at the Great Taste of the West Awards 2022.

The annual Taste of the West Awards is the largest regional awards programme in the UK which showcases the quality and diversity of food and drink producers, restaurants, hotels and retailers in the Southwest, from the farthest tip of Cornwall, through Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Commenting on the award, James Lambert MD & winemaker at Lyme Bay Winery said “We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved a Gold medal from the Great Taste of the West Awards for our specialist shop. A special thanks must go to the dedication of our cellar door managers, Sarah and Steve, who work extremely hard to ensure communication, information and attention to detail is of the highest quality to offer the best customer experience possible.”

Judges carry out unannounced visits to member businesses to judge not only the quality and provenance of the food and drink, but just as importantly the warmth of the welcome and the efficiency of the service. The Taste of the West judges glowing comments concluded with: “Lyme Bay Winery is a very informative and friendly specialist shop that is a delight for those on holiday or live locally in the area to visit.”
