What's new at the Husbandry School near Bickington?
They’re feeling and tasting the shift in the seasons up on the Husbandry School hill. Much of the winter storage crops - potatoes squash, onions and shallots - have all been harvested and stored away for the winter months.
Now beautiful big cabbages, spicy winter radishes and sweet turnips and swede are being harvested, so warming stews and soups are looking to be on the menu for our veg bag customers, local shops and restaurants over the coming months.
Get in touch at produce@husbandry.co.uk if you’re local to Bickington, near Ashburton and would like to taste the harvest. The team deliver local veg bags for as little as £13 per week, as well as selling to local restaurants and shops.
