Back by popular demand, Brixham Gin’s Market Garden gins are becoming a favourite with their loyal customers. This year they have brought back two much loved limited editions – Market Garden Strawberry Gin and Market Garden Rhubarb and Ginger Gin.

It’s important for them to share that their flavoured gins are not gin liquors but full strength spirits. As they make their gins in a small batch distillery (100 bottles at a time) they have the luxury to use 100% natural ingredients only. Each is produced with fresh fruits from their local green grocer Fairalls and bottled by hand in their Old Sail Loft looking over Brixham harbour.

Market Garden Strawberry gin

Strawberry season is officially upon us and that means the return of their summer star Market Garden Strawberry Gin. This infused gin is slowly steeped with fresh Devon strawberries until their juicy sweetness is released. Pink peppercorns, rose petals and light cinnamon notes join the process for a delicately balanced gin. They suggest a 2:1 ratio with a simple tonic but if you want a decadent party drink top up with Prosecco for an all out bubbly treat.

Market Garden Rhubarb and Ginger gin

The base for their second Market Garden gin is deceptively simple, they want the traditional juniper to peep through and give the distinctive taste of rhubarb a place to shine. Rhubarb and ginger is a timeless combination – the tart sweetness of rhubarb is balanced by the warming notes of ginger. They also add fresh lemon and lime when distilling for a citrus tang, and a generous sprinkle of spices.

Brixham Gin’s limited edition gins are now available at their distillery, The Bottle Shop (their Middle Street space) and a number of their stockists. You can also order directly at www.brixhamgin.com
