Who’s who in the Food Drink Devon Shop at Exeter Christmas Market

For the first time this year, Food Drink Devon is at Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market with nineteen of our members, bringing you some of the best artisan, handcrafted food and drinks for your festive stockings and your Christmas table.

Here’s who you will find in our Christmas Shop. A few will be there for just 10 days, so make sure you catch them – or if you can’t then shop online below. Two producers will be sharing tasters each day.

BFK Sauces from Beer Factory & Kitchen

Beer Factory & Kitchen serve their epic burgers and hip sides at Hanlons Brewery in Newton St Cyres. But that’s not all, they also produce a range of fabulous sauces, including Chipotle Aioli, Truffle Mayo and Korean Chilli Sauce. Buy the sauces in the market and book a table for the full works!

Ebb Tides Seaweed

Seaweed harvester and producer based in Sidmouth, hand-harvesting seaweed along the beautiful coastline between Sidmouth to Budleigh Salterton to produce a range of products including Seaweed Caviar and Seaweed Shakers.

Figgy’s Christmas Puddings 

A family-owned artisan bakery in Exeter, where they make all their Christmas Puddings by hand to their old family recipe.  Made with Somerset Cider Brandy and Hanlon’s Port Stout, they’re light in texture and rich in flavour. With lots of awards to their name they’re  possibly the most decorated pudding in the country!

Forget added preservatives, forget fancy marketing jargon, Hanlons Brewery is all about making excellent real craft beer. They use the best quality barley and hops fand water from Devon rolling hills to ensure your beer will always be packed full of flavour and satisfying.

A family-owned Devon vineyard and off-grid winery in the Teign Valley, producing highly-respected, award-winning boutique wines including white, red and sparkling.

Devonian/South African couple Amy and Don, created Inyama Biltong in a mission to bring authentic South-African style biltong to Devon. It’s made in small batches, using the finest cuts of 100% pasture-fed beef from regenerative farms across Devon.

Ivybridge Brewery (27 Nov-7 Dec)

A social enterprise brewery that provides paid and volunteering opportunities for people with learning disabilities. Their beautifully crafted beers have won multiple awards. Why not try some for yourself and help them continue to make a difference?

Mrs Gill’s Country Cakes

A small, long-established bakery in Tiverton in the heart of Devon. The team lovingly hand baking every single cake. Their rich Christmas cakes and loaf cakes are particularly sought after.

Papillon Dartmoor Distillery (8-17 Dec)

A small, award-winning, B Corp Certified distillery in the Dartmoor National Park. Claire and Adam (and their Distillery Dog) distil a range of high-quality gins and an absinthe, using locally grown botanicals alongside more traditional flavours.

Salcombe Dairy

Delicious chocolate products made in Salcombe in their Island Street factory, using organic Peruvian beans. Much of their chocolate is completely organic. Packaging is compostable or reusable. All chocolate is nut, gluten and egg free, no palm oil or other nasties!

Sharpham Dairy

A small, artisan producer of handmade cheeses, chutneys and crackers. Sharpham has been cheesemaking near the River Dart for over 40 years, using the rich milk from their own herd of Jersey cow’s together with goat’s milk from local family farms. By their multi-award winning cheeses, chutneys and sourdough crackers in the market and online.

Stone’s Honey

A South Hams family business producing completely natural, unpasteurised, cold-filtered and unblended honeys. Their bees forage moorland, farmland and woodland habitats so the only flavours are those within the bees’ local environment.

Thunderflower Distillery (27 Nov-7 Dec)

An award-winning micro-distillery making small-batch, craft-gins and spirits in a custom-built 200 litre pot still, using their own recipes and hand crafting every step of the way. Each 70cl bottle is number and signed.

A small family-run Exeter business with a passion to produce the perfect olive. They use some of the finest Greek olives then we blend by hand, using local ingredients to achieve a range of fantastic flavours – try their Festive Blend.

From their home on Plymouth’s historic Barbican, Barbican Botanicals create multi award-winning spirits with a rich blend of heritage and tradition, and a contemporary twist including Original Gin, Tropical Gin and Spiced Rum.

A family-run brewery that’s been creating exceptional, multi-award-winning beers in Torbay for 16 years. The brewery prides itself on its awesome team who all share the same passion to produce ‘Devon’s Beer of Choice’.
