The Bucket & Spade Cafe – The ideal spot during an autumnal staycation

Early Autumn is the ideal time for many young families and couples to enjoy a staycation; to frolic on the quieter beaches, meander around the pretty coastal villages and devour delicious locally produced food from cafes and restaurants.

With spectacular panoramic views across the Jurassic coastline the Bucket & Spade Cafe in Devon exudes a distinct holiday ambience as soon as you walk through the door. Catch the last of the summer rays, relax and unwind on the stunning terrace and gaze over the recently updated menu.

Expect popular family favourites at lunch time and in the evening with the focus on locally-sourced produce and many vegan and gluten free options available. Fresh and local fish dishes and West Country beef feature on the menu alongside light bites and healthy salads with their popular traditional Sunday lunch. A wide selection of artisan local beers, wines and spirits are available from the well-stocked bar.

Based at Coast View Holiday Park in Shaldon, the Bucket & Spade Cafe is open to on-site lodge owners and members of the public.

Open seven days a week, Coast View Holiday Park members can enjoy the beautifully warm indoor swimming pool or if feeling a little more active use the state-of-the-art gymnasium to work up a sweat before dining in The Bucket & Spade Cafe.

Opening hours at present are as follows; Monday and Tuesday 9am-6pm, Wednesday to Saturday 9am-9pm.
