Ground Up Cookery School Young Chef Parties

The Ground Up Cookery School have launched new Young Chefs' Birthday Parties and they're already a big hit.

Are you searching for something a little different from the usual children’s party options in Devon? A new cookery birthday workshop offers a hands-on, creative alternative.

Designed especially for older children aged 11+ (although they understand that some participants may not yet have had their birthday), the parties combine celebration with real skill-building in a professional training kitchen. The experience feels special because it is genuine, every guest cooks, learns and leaves with food they have made themselves.

This two-hour birthday experience is designed for children who want to cook properly, not just decorate. Guests follow live demonstrations and create everything from scratch in a fully equipped cookery school setting.

"For those of us working in food and hospitality, it's easy to worry that younger generations are becoming disconnected from where food comes from and how it's made. That's why it's been such a joy to see groups of children choosing to celebrate their birthdays around a kitchen workbench.

"Our kitchen has been filled with laughter, flour-dusted aprons, pizza dough spinning and plenty of chocolate. Perhaps the most rewarding part is seeing just how naturally food brings people together. Whether they're debating pizza toppings, comparing brownie creations or sitting down together to enjoy the results, the experience becomes about much more than cooking. It's social, creative and wonderfully inclusive.
