Cheers to 20 years! Brand new Pilsner honours Stone family boatyard business.
The Stone family have long been ‘messing about on boats’ with a distinguished history of boatbuilding on the Salcombe estuary dating back to the 1800s.
It has been 20 years since the current Stone family built a boatyard to care for Salcombe yawls and wooden launches and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious beer… and delighted we are to have been chosen to apply our own craft to create our very first Pilsner; named in honour of this fabulous family business.
Stones Pilsner: 4.1% ABV. A combination of the finest English hops, Czech lager malt for extra crispness with hints of citrus and aromas of light malts – it’s a bottle of pure Devon sunshine. Time to fire up the BBQ, grab your cooler and kick back with a bottle of Stones Pilsner thus summer.
It’s a WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN…
Time for a cabinet re-shuffle and promise we’re not getting political here! Just freeing up some space for four more awards for our ales, carried home from this year’s premier South West Beer Festival: Maltings Fest.
A veritable armful with a Gold for the mighty Sherman American Pale Ale; a Silver each for Eddystone and the dark and very ‘proper’ Devon Porter, plus a Bronze for the first appearance of the, all-new, Stones Pilsner.
Definitely time for a celebratory tipple!
