Lyme Bay Winery and English Heritage collaborate to launch Castle Mead

Lyme Bay Winery is excited to announce the launch of Castle Mead, a special product developed in partnership with English Heritage. This collaboration symbolises the shared values and long-standing relationship between Lyme Bay Winery and English Heritage, marking a significant expansion in the product range.

Castle Mead is a lighter 8% ABV wine-style mead, available through English Heritage as well as to Lyme Bay Winery trade customers and at the company’s Cellar Door. This unique offering has been meticulously crafted and perfected for English Heritage by Lyme Bay Winery is the UK’s largest producer of mead, and it is an ideal accompaniment to cheese or a delightful medium-sweet wine alternative.

James Lambert, Managing Director of Lyme Bay Winery commented:

“Castle Mead offers a distinct, full-flavored honey-based wine, proudly made in England. It is a blend of honeys which is then enhanced with natural spices. The ferment is slow and lengthy allowing us to achieve quality flavours and preserve those delicate aromatics in the final product.”

Lyme Bay Winery has been working in partnership with English Heritage to make an award-winning range of Meads, Fruit Wines and Liqueurs for over 16 years. Over the years they have curated a range of drinks perfect for the English Heritage visitor and Castle Mead is no exception, mixing their renowned branding with a modern take on Lyme Bay Traditional Mead.

Lyme Bay Winery has also unveiled rebranding of their iconic mead lines forming approachable year-round products. Christmas Mead is now available as the enticingly aromatic Spiced Mead, while the renowned Tournament Mead transforms into the invigorating Ginger Mead.

All three meads are available now with a RRP of £11.99.
