Choose Organic, Plastic Free Veg This New Year

Eversfield Organic are extremely proud of their wide range of organic veg, which is almost completely plastic-free. From winter essentials such as root veggies (think potatoes, carrots and parsnips) to flavoursome additions like onions, mushrooms and leeks. And of course, our selection of nutritious veg is all certified organic, meaning a healthier choice all round.

Organic fruit and veg can significantly reduce your exposure to harmful, artificial pesticides and herbicides. At Eversfield Organic, they never use man-made, artificial fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides when growing our organic fruit and vegetables. They also carefully compost any waste produced in the Farm’s Market Garden which returns nutrients to the soil. This nutrient-rich soil is then naturally fertile, producing delicious, nutritious and organic vegetables and fruits.

If your New Year’s resolution is the be more environmentally conscious and live a healthier lifestyle, choose plastic-free, organic fruit and veg. Look out for Eversfield Organic’s Plastic Free Veg Box launching early this year, making it easier than ever to make the switch.

Eversfield Organic’s Thoughts on Farmdrop

The Eversfield Organic family were saddened by the news that Farmdrop had gone into administration in the week leading up to Christmas, shaking the industry that they share and leaving many customers and supporters of sustainably produced food without their Christmas produce so close to the festivities.

The family-run farm in Devon works closely with many of the same organic farmers and suppliers as Farmdrop, and they were also saddened that many of these hardworking producers had been let down too. These partner farms and producers really felt the impact of this news, as did many loyal Farmdrop customers, who were relying on the company to provide their Christmas food.

As a result, Eversfield Organic managed to offer a small range of organic Christmas produce to those who have been let in the week before the big day. The Eversfield Organic family worked their magic, opening additional Christmas delivery slots for new orders, hoping to help a handful of ethical food supporters who had been let down.

Eversfield Organic pulled off an extremely successful Christmas period, and come the big day the family were able to rest peacefully knowing they’d done their best to save Christmas for many customers across the country.
