Red Rock Brewery

In 2006 father and son, John and Lewis Parkes set out on a journey of fulfilling a dream to start a home-grown brewery, A passion for beer combined with John's experience of home-brewing and Lewis’ knowledge as a former brewer and Red Rock Brewery born. As the business grew daughter Hollie joined the team in 2008 helping to drive forward the growth and ambition of the brewery. Our location was equally as important as the beer itself and with the support of local farmers Geoff and Joe Lang at Higher Humber farm we were generously provided with an old barn to house the brewery.

Based on a quiet corner of sleepy South Devon nestled in the hills of Bishopsteignton our range of traditional cask real ales are made not only using the finest natural ingredients of locally sourced malt, whole hops and wet yeast but also brewed using the farm's natural source of pure spring water, giving each of our beers an individual character and a real artisan feel.

Over recent years we have expanded the brewery and our ranges to include the new ‘Craft and Slow’ ranges of keg and bottled beers.
Despite this the Red Rock Brewery continues to grow and still uses the same ethos as when we started it way back in 2006. We take great pride in our artisan approach to producing the best quality beers and ales, our only wish is that you enjoy drinking them as much as we enjoy making them!

The brewery welcomes visitors for brewery tours, brew days and to pop into the bar for a range of beers & merchandise. You can also visit brewery's onsite bar Thursday-Sunday and view the entertainment space which can also be hired out for private parties and corporate events.

Brewery tours typically happen on Thursday’s, weekly during the high season and monthly during the Winter. Tours include a tour of the Brewhouse, meet the brewers, ask any of your beery questions and of course sample the beers in the Brewery’s taproom.
