Nestled amongst traditional boatbuilders on Island Street, Salcombe, at one of the world’s only distilleries directly accessible by boat, Salcombe Distilling Co. creates exceptional, handcrafted gin with an uncompromising approach to quality.

Distilled and crafted in Salcombe, on Provident our bespoke 450 litre copper pot still, our multi-award winning Salcombe Gin ‘Start Point’ is a classic citrus led London dry that is exceptionally smooth, distinct and complex.

Tasting Bar
Visitors to the distillery and tasting bar can watch the distillers at work and enjoy our signature serve cocktails from our team of mixologists whilst overlooking the Salcombe waterfront.

Our team of experienced mixologists will guide you through our collection of exceptional gins and talk you through our range outstanding gin cocktails. We also offer a range of coffees, teas, fine wines, craft beers and soft drinks.

Gin School
The Gin School offers the ultimate experience at our distilling laboratory for adults. Where you can create your very own bespoke 70cl bottle of gin on a mini copper pot still. You will learn about how we produce Salcombe Gin and what it takes to produce a well balanced and harmonious gin whilst enjoying a ‘Salcombe & Tonic’.

Create your own gin recipe by choosing from our extensive range of citrus, herbal, floral and spice botanicals or get imaginative and experiment by bringing your own. Our expert distillers will guide you throughout the process including when to make those all important cuts which will influence your spirit’s flavour.

During distillation you will sample and name your unique creation before bottling your gin and placing it in a presentation box with a personalised bottle label. Your experience will conclude in our waterside bar, enjoying an additional measure of your gin with a choice of garnishes and tonics to complement your recipe. Advance booking is essential.
