The Curator Speciality Coffee Shop

The Curator has been serving coffee in Totnes since 2012, opening on the day the Olympic torch passed through the town! The coffee shop sits at the entrance to Totnes, taking advantage of the wide pavements with outside seating with umbrellas and planters, also with inside seating spreading over two floors. The décor is all about appreciating the light spaces and chosen heritage surf boards, cycles and cool prints. They serve their own wood roasted speciality coffee and house-made Italian bakery products, you can also find freshly made focaccia sandwiches and a brunch menu.

The Curator Coffee Roasters

Coffee has always been at the centre of The Curator, staying loyal to the Italian tradition of wood roasted coffee that was initially imported directly from Italy. Now The Curator is roasting their own coffee in-house at their industrial estate unit. They are holding onto the Italian traditions of wood roasting whilst maintaining a modern approach to coffee. They source single origin, mono-varietal beans and roast them in a bespoke Italian wood roaster using locally sourced and seasonal wood. They then make up a house-blend for a classic Italian style espresso with strong and rich characteristics of chocolate and caramel notes to work both as espresso as well as with steamed milk.
