Non-alcoholic spirit specialists Sea Arch Drinks have signed up with premium drinks distributor Mangrove UK to handle their UK distribution, providing a further boost to the brand’s growth aspirations for the coming year.

The Devon-based company, which created the award-winning Coastal Juniper non-alcoholic distilled spirit, is already making waves in the No and Low sector, with an increase in sales of over 200% in 2020/21.

Currently Sea Arch is stocked in Ocado, Amazon, Farmdrop and Virgin Wines among others, as well as several high-end bars and restaurants. Mangrove are planning on increasing volume and exploring new off-trade options as well as working on a robust plan for targeting the on-trade.

Founders Sarah and Geoff Yates have a highly successful background in the hospitality industry. They set-up Sea Arch in 2018 after noticing an increasing interest in alcohol free alternatives with only a limited offering available. They created the Sea Arch Coastal Juniper blend to answer that demand with a deliciously refreshing spirit that doesn’t compromise on taste or experience.

Sea Arch takes the inspiration for its name from a stunning natural sea arch off the coast of Torquay, near Beacon Cove. The spirit is made from natural seaside botanicals, and is free from sugar, sweeteners, calories and allergens. The minimal packaging is plastic-free and recyclable or compostable, and the paint on the bottles is solvent free.

Sea Arch recently teamed up with The Seahorse Trust to help boost awareness of the charity and raise much-needed funds to support its research and world-wide conservation work.

Sarah Yates co-founder at Sea Arch Drinks said: “We are really excited to join Mangrove and work with them to take Sea Arch to the next level in the UK. There is so much potential within the emerging No & Low drinks category and we trust Mangrove as a partner to work with us to achieve our ambitions, to build the brand while staying true to our environmental pledge.”

Nick Gillett, MD at Mangrove UK added: “An increasing number of people choose not to drink alcohol or to limit their units and drink in a more mindful way.  I am so pleased to be able to welcome Sea Arch to our portfolio to provide a delicious and refreshing option, one which is kind to the environment and offers a genuinely tasty alternative to alcohol.

“The Sea Arch ethos fits perfectly with the portfolio I am continuing to build; made up of brands which embody innovation and integrity and are passionate about the environment and sustainability.”

Sea Arch Coastal Juniper is made using traditional distillation techniques and a blend of eleven carefully chosen botanicals. These include juniper, sea kelp, samphire, blood orange, coriander, cardamom, and grapefruit. Serve over ice with a squeeze of citrus and a premium tonic or in a range of cocktails.
