With a long bank holiday weekend ahead, there will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style. Here’s our round up of the best Jubilee events and hampers.
Toast the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with Luscombe’s Limited Edition Strawberry Bubbly

Jubilee Gin Festival at The Durant Arms, Ashprington
Celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style with The Durant Arms from 2nd – 5th June. There will be a Gin and Pimms’ Bar, live music, street food, real ales, craft beers and ciders, plus book in for Chef Kai’s royal inspired Sunday lunch on 5th June.
Jubilee Themed Afternoon Tea at Boringdon Hall, Plymouth
Afternoon Tea at Boringdon Hall is served in the dramatic surroundings of the quintessentially English Great Hall. Over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, join Boringdon Hall to enjoy their very special themed afternoon. Available Thursday 2 June until Sunday 5 June, from 1pm-4pm.
Topsham Jubilee Food Festival
Over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, Topsham will become a food lover’s destination, with events happening across the town, including a Food Trail, Food Festival (with local food stalls, street food, and chef’s demos), and an evening outdoor party of local food, drink and music.
Finally, the weekend will culminate with the community Nello’s Longest Table celebration when the whole town joins together to lay out some 350 tables all along Fore Street, Topsham Quay, and Ferry Road, to sit down together and share food, friendship and community.
Big Jubilee Lunch at The Bucket & Spade, Shaldon
Join The Bucket & Spade for their Jubilee festivities and enjoy dining to celebrate all things brilliantly British. The Big Jubilee Lunch is from 12pm on Sunday 5th June. Enjoy a range of classic British dishes and tasty desserts whilst overlooking the stunning Jurassic Coast.
Already have Sunday plans? Don your finest hats and indulge in a delicious Royal Cream Tea instead! Served from 10am – 4pm available Thursday 2 June to Saturday 4 June.

Celebrate with a Chunk of Devon Jubilee Picnic Hamper
Forget sarnies this summer – it’s all about the Coronation Chicken Picnic Pasty! Paired with Squealer Pork Pies and followed by a proper Devon cream tea with Langage Farm clotted cream.
To celebrate 70 years of lovely Queen Liz, Chunk of Devon have put one of the classic British sandwich fillings, and the very recipe developed for her coronation in 1953, into a pasty this summer!
Special High Tea at Bayards Cove Inn, Dartmouth
Bayards Cove Inn is celebrating HRH The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a truly delicious high tea.
From noon until 2.30pm throughout the long Bank Holiday weekend, (June 2 – 5), the team at Bayards Cove Inn will be serving the most exquisite high tea. Plates will be piled high with smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches, scones, Jubilee cupcakes and chocolate brownies, served with tea or coffee or a glass of fizz. The cost is just £30 for two, or £35 if choosing fizz.
Celebrate with Eversfield Organic
Online from eversfieldorganic.co.uk – Everything you need for the perfect afternoon tea can be found in the Eversfield Organic Platinum Jubilee Collection, including organic scones, organic cream (from Ivy House Dairy – the official suppliers of Organic Jersey Dairy Products to the Royals themselves!) and English organic jam. Even better, all these cream tea ingredients are currently 15% off until 12th of June. The only question left is, cream or jam first?
The Eversfield Organic Farm Shops in Tavistock and Totnes are also offering 15% off the essential cream tea ingredients, as well as a brand-new range of homemade cakes. In our Tavistock shop, these homemade cakes (including banana bread, chocolate brownies and carrot cake) are the perfect companion for a takeaway cup of organic coffee or tea from our coffee bar. In Totnes, where the same range of organic cakes are available, you can of course take a seat in the accompanying café to enjoy a tea and cake ahead of the Jubilee weekend.
In addition, at Tavistock, Eversfield Organic will be hosting an organic BBQ which will be the ideal opportunity to sample their 100% organic produce. Find the team at Bedford square between 11am and 4pm on Thursday 2nd June to grab yourself an organic burger, plus receive a special discount card for 10% off the butchery in their organic Farm Shop just up the road at 2 West Street.
Flapjackery Plants Trees for the Jubilee
Devon-based confectionary company, Flapjackery, – which specialises in making decadent and delicious hand-made gluten flapjacks – is celebrating HRH The Queens’ Platinum Jubilee by donating proceeds from the sale of its flapjacks to the Plant A Tree For The Jubilee appeal.
Flapjackery will donate £1.50 to The Queen’s Green Canopy every time someone buys eight or 12 flapjacks from any of its shops which are located across the West Country in Tavistock, Wells, Minehead, Plymouth and St Ives.
