Foxcombe Bakehouse has launched its new Christmas range, including award-winning Mince Pies and an Iced Fruit cake. Plus, a new delicious traditional Devon Cider Cake. The Christmas goodies, including selection gift hampers, are all available via independent retailers and by post direct to the table.

Foxcombe Bakehouse’s generously filled Mince Pies won both a Food Drink Devon Gold 2021/22 and a Taste of the West Gold Award 2021. The 4inch Iced Fruit Cake was also Commended by Taste of the West in 2021.

The full range includes a seasonal selection of mince pies, shortbreads, traditional rich iced fruitcakes, Devon Cider Cake and a selection of gift hampers. The cakes and bakes are all hand-made at the Foxcombe Bakehouse in Devon, using the finest ingredients, locally farmed free-range eggs and are plastic free.

Foxcombe Bakehouse owner, Helen Spooncer explains, “We were delighted to win three awards for our festive range earlier in the Autumn. We developed our postage ready festive gifts last year which proved very popular as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, as consumers’ purchase habits changed. We are pleased to have developed the range with the addition of the Devon Cider cake – based on a traditional recipe and featuring local Devon cider of course.”

The multi-award-winning bakery was started by Helen in 1998 originally from her kitchen table as she baked cakes to sell at the local pannier market. The business now employs twelve and has grown to supply over 150 mainly independent retailers – convenience stores, farm shops, garden centres, and tourist attractions across the South West and beyond.
