Eversfield Organic’s Anna Elliot, daughter of their founder and farmer Mark Bury, has recently been in conversation with the Soil Association to discuss the importance of getting to know your local Farm Shop.

Anna, who has lived and worked on the organic farm in Devon since 2002, also discusses the importance of agroecology on the farm, including work in their Market Garden, and the sense of community they see thanks to their Farm Shops.

Getting to know your local Farm Shop is key to knowing exactly where your food has come from, and building trust with the farmer, discovering new and tasty produce as well as hearing stories from your local community.

Volunteering at your local Farm Shop is also a great way to stay connected to your food and the provenance behind it.
