Eversfield Organic to take over historic Dartmoor pub The Ring of Bells

Local Devon business Eversfield Organic has announced it will be taking over The Ring of Bells at North Bovey, which closed its doors earlier this autumn.

This latest development promises to carry on the legacy of the popular historic pub, honouring its Dartmoor heritage and local community, with family run Eversfield Organic having already established three successful restaurants and farm shops across the Southwest, including the award-winning Dartmoor Inn at Merrivale.

The Ring of Bells will become Eversfield Organic’s newest venture, serving 100% locally farmed, organic food in line with their values of providing the highest quality sustainable produce at an affordable price.

Famous for their grass-fed beef, Eversfield’s new menu will centre around an ox grill, ‘bringing back the theatre of a night out’, searing steaks above the fire in a unique and immersive dining experience. The menu will also feature a catch of the day, burgers and a vegetarian special, as well as separate breakfast and lunch menus.

All compostable waste from the restaurant will be used as organic fertiliser for Eversfield farm’s market garden which will grow produce for the restaurant, feeding into Eversfield Organic’s closed loop sustainability model.

The bar will offer a wide selection of local, organic ales, alongside wines, cocktails, and soft drinks which can be enjoyed in the beer garden.

The Ring of Bells is set to reopen in January 2023 under Eversfield Organic’s management.
