Since opening the doors to the Eversfield Organic Dartmoor Inn, Merrivale on May 17th, the team have loved welcoming locals and new faces alike and serving up some serious organic goodness. They’ve had some lovely feedback from customers about both their restaurant and rooms, complementing their luxurious bedding, stunning views of Dartmoor, friendly staff and incredible food.

“We had a brilliant stay with dinner, bed and breakfast at this wonderful Inn this week. The organic food was delicious and the setting nestling in Dartmoor National Park was magical. The client service was really caring and they could not have been more helpful. Our batteries were fully recharged. We shall return!”

The grass-fed and finished organic Aberdeen Angus beef from their farm only 15 miles from the inn is cooked in front of diners’ eyes on their brand-new Ox Grill, and it’s safe to say it cooks up an impressive steak.

New Head Chef

A large part of Eversfield Organic cooking up a storm at the Dartmoor Inn is thanks to the newest addition of the team: its head chef Tom Dodd. Tom’s past experience made him the perfect choice to head up the organic kitchen, having worked at many chef jobs across the country (including London’s The Ritz Hotel) and gaining experience from kitchen to kitchen. Something about the South West always drew Tom back, however, and he’s more than excited about his new position at the inn.

Tom loves being able to work with “100% organic, top quality meat” and the farm to fork ethos is something he stands strongly behind. Going back to basics, cooking on an open fire with real, premium ingredients makes Tom’s new job a whole lot easier, allowing the organic food to “speak for itself”.
