This late Victorian property features newly refurbished bedrooms each with their own unique look and feel, including super king beds for maximum comfort and relaxation. Guests will benefit from an on-site treatment room offering a broad range of therapies.

The newly renovated restaurant menu will change fortnightly and will host pop-ups, immersive dining experiences, food festivals, and so much more!

The Broomhill collection features over 200 contemporary artworks from international artists including pieces from; Ronald Westerhuis, Giles Penny, Carol Peace, Greta Berlin, and incredible carvings from 1st generation Shona artists, to name but a few!

Now under new ownership the collection will be grown, and new artworks will be installed including site specific works from household names – all of which will be made available for art lovers to invest in.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the landscape and join Broomhill on this transformative adventure as we expand the collection and evolve this sanctuary for fine arts.

Broomhill Estate is a sanctuary for the fine arts nestled In North Devon. We have an ancient woodland forest where art and nature coexist, evolving in symbiosis. The Sculpture exhibition has been active for over 25 years and currently showcases more than 150 pieces throughout the gardens.

Each of the seven boutique bedrooms that we have here has its own unique personality and ambiance inspired by arthouse and cult films including: Velvet Goldmine, Lost in translation, Moonrise Kingdom, Betty Blue, Amelie, Clockwork Orange & Grey Gardens.

The rooms are set in a 1913 property, which is south facing with glorious high ceilings. The property was refurbished in July 2021 and now features a treatment room for ultimate relaxation.

The Hotel also boasts a 50-seater restaurant and several immersive bars and lounges inspired by the arts. The cinema room features authentic Hollywood props from the films such as: Highlander, Alien v Predator, Jumanji, Fight club and more.

Broomhill Dining serve an evolving menu of locally sourced ingredients featuring seasonal produce, inspired by nature. The restaurant also regularly hosts special dining events and, pop ups and experiences which can be seen on our events page.

Outthinking the Future was the Theme to our National Sculpture Prize competition run every year. The National Sculpture prize has established itself as a cornerstone of fine arts ecosystem, supporting and elevating emerging outdoor artists by providing a funded platform for creativity. 10 artists are shortlisted from a nationwide open call, each receiving £2,500 to help create their proposals. The 2021 winners were announced on the 1st of November. The overall winner has secured £15,000 and the “people’s choice award” winner secures £5,000.
